Licensing and Intellectual Property

The goal of the AFIRM is to make new technologies available for the treatment of military and civilian patients who are recovering from traumatic injury.

The AFIRM partner organizations make every effort to protect the intellectual property of AFIRM technologies and to license them to US companies who can bring them to the marketplace. We believe this is best for the technologies, best for the US economy and ultimately best for the patients we serve.

While individual technologies are managed by the technology development offices of the hospitals of universities where they are developed, the AFIRM helps to identify and facilitate corporate partnerships for funded technologies.

In some cases, we have already found excellent corporate partnerships for AFIRM technologies. However, many of our technologies are still seeking active partnerships with companies interested in building a market.

To inquire about opportunities for licensing please contact us. Our technology management team will respond to your inquiry.
